We had a great time with Father Christmas on December 2nd. Lots of kids came to hear classic Christmas stories both before and after the Santa Parade in Chehalis at Book N Brush. The kids also loved the free cookies!

Our Mission Statement: Our Literacy Council serves to empower individuals in our communities by advancing literacy in all its forms

Our Literacy Council is working to truly be Our Literacy Council of Lewis County, with a presence throughout the County. While GED preparation, Adult Basic Education and English as a Second Language work is important and will be continued, we are very aware that improved literacy starts early in life and we want to promote that. We are starting small with family story times at several locations.

Volunteer tutors are needed. More opportunities will become available as we grow. We are adding computer literacy and lifeskills to our offerings, as well as working on other areas of need in the community.

Donations are always welcome.  We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Although we are housed at Centralia College, we are funded completely by grants and donations. Your support allows us to continue tutoring learners, providing GED testing scholarships, and training volunteers.
